Throughout the year, the first grade class has studied metamorphosis in many different ways. In particular, they have examined the changes of the ladybug and the caterpillar.
Recently, the first grade class was able to watch butterflies emerge from crystallized caterpillars. The students were in awe of the process, and loved seeing the new developments each day.
After two weeks, the first graders let the butterflies go. While they were sad to see them fly away, they were excited to have had them as part of their class!
